The awards season is upon us and the Royal Opera House hosted a glamorous BAFTAS awards show on Sunday 13th February 2011. As expected The King’s Speech swept the board with 7 awards, including the award for Original Music. The original soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat features Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and piano concerto No. 5, which can be found here.

Natalie Portman who rose to fame with Star Wars trained daily for over 6 months to learn her part and is heroic in this stunning thriller about a ballerina who loses her mind. The music is obvious and the collection of the best from OPUS ARTE is here.
